Terugblik Nederland als Partnerland in 2014. Wirtschafsreport in gesprek met Marco Siebert, directeur Internationale betrekkingen Hannover Messe.
Exclusief interview met Marc Siemering over Hannover Messe 2016.
Accurate to one thousandth of a millimetre
Four become one: when Herman Gorree founded the start-up “AA Total Parts” back in 2006, he couldn’t have predicted what a diverse company it would be become. In addition to AA Total Parts, his portfolio, which operates under the name “Gorree in Vorm”, also includes the companies Vereijkens Gereedschapslijperij, HD Lasers and Laserjob. With his key focus areas which are the grinding shop, laser technology and longitudinal turning of technical parts, the entrepreneur in Venray, the Netherlands, has found a real gap in the market. Last year, Gorree took his company another step further into the future.
The in-house grinding shop primarily manufactures tools such as drills and milling cutters from hard metals. Gorree in Vorm has developed an innovative machine for that. “It is capable of working with extreme precision right down to a thousandth of a millimetre, which is very rare. This intricate and delicate work requires us to use diamond grinding heads”, says a proud Herman Gorree. Another advantage of this machine is that it can cater for customers’ specific requirements and produce customised tools. The company division also offers its customers servicing and maintenance for the products.
At the beginning of 2013 Gorree in Vorm took over the company Vereijkens Gereedschapslijperij BV. “This helped to put us in a better position, because the company has a modern grinding shop with an automated loading system for 24/7 production. This means that it can provide customers with whatever products they want in a short space of time – ideally within two hours.”
Herman Gorree’s team has a wealth of expertise, including in CNC machining. “We have been primarily specialising in the longitudinal turning of technical parts in that area”, he continues.
Huge success in laser engraving
The second key focus area of Gorree in Vorm covers various types of laser technology work. In 2009, the company invested in its first fibre laser which enables it to carry out laser engraving work on technical parts. “We carried out a market survey beforehand which showed that demand for fibre lasers in the metal industry for identifying products was growing”, says Herman Gorree. His company not only engraves its own products using a laser but also makes the fibre lasers available to customers. What’s more, it does this at reasonable prices: “It is very important for the customers that lasers are affordable and they also need to be available at the drop of a hat.”
Catering for customers’ requirements better
Last year, Gorree in Vorm made a huge improvement by implementing a flexible production environment. “We noticed that customers were sending us more and more specific enquiries that required smaller production runs. Now we’re able to meet those requirements. Other advantages that have emerged are that the delivery times have been shortened and we can think in terms of our customers a lot more. We can lighten their load to a certain degree.”
